The God of Wealth Codex skin turns the OpenAI Codex desktop app into a Lunar New Year counting house. A crimson-and-gold banner runs across the top of the workspace, the God of Wealth himself sits at a laptop in sunglasses tallying what he saved the team this month, and the quick-action cards are relabelled cost cutting, tech-debt clearing, automatic reports and merge-conflict fortune. It is the meme skin the Chinese Codex community shared first, and still the one people ask for by name.
Under the festive layer everything is ordinary Codex. The sidebar, project tree, task list and composer sit exactly where they always did, and the cream background keeps code and diffs at full contrast — this is a theme you can leave on during real work, not one you screenshot once and revert.
It runs on macOS and Windows through the open-source Codex Dream Skin project, and it is free. Copy the install prompt below and paste it into Codex: it fetches the upstream repository and applies the theme itself. Prefer to run the steps yourself?
