The Jackson Yee Codex skin is a fan-made theme for the OpenAI Codex desktop app, built in soft sage green and warm ink. Paper cranes and botanical strokes frame the hero panel, a handwritten signature sits in the corner, and the project tree is themed around his films and music rather than generic folders. It is one of the celebrity-tribute Codex skins circulating in the Chinese community, where this whole style of theme first took off.
The palette is deliberately muted, which makes it one of the easier character skins to actually work in all day: panels stay light, contrast stays high, and the sidebar and task list read exactly as they do in the stock interface.
It installs on macOS and Windows through the open-source Codex Dream Skin project and is free to use. Copy the install prompt below into Codex and it will fetch the upstream repository and apply the theme, or follow the manual guide for your platform. Restoring the original Codex look takes one command.
Install with one prompt
Paste this into Codex and it will install the skin itself (agent-native install):
Read the repository https://github.com/Fei-Away/Codex-Dream-Skin and install Codex Dream Skin on this machine with the "Jackson Yee" style theme. Follow the platform folder (macos/ or windows/) instructions, verify the skin is active, then tell me how to restore the stock look.
